Job Purpose

Assist in analysis and resolution of new model and mass production vehicle related issues. Promote equipment quality within the factory for CBU improvement. Investigate problems to determine root cause and countermeasure direction with responsible departments as well as implementing countermeasures and performing PDCA to verify robustness of countermeasure implementation. When necessary, work with equipment suppliers to make necessary design improvements to improve equipment quality. Works within the equipment group to assist with investment ideas/plans..

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist group leader with technical problem solving, reporting, and gaining consensus from other manufacturing departments. Problems are primarily equipment pass rate and CBU regulation inspections. Ability to work well with cross functional departments. Makes necessary equipment changes to fix problems that have been identified through implementing countermeasures and confirming equipment is functioning within needs to meet inspection regulations.
  • Investigate, develop, and implement countermeasures to resolve complex issues to guarantee CBU quality. These issues are related to problems caused by the factory and/or equipment influence.
  • Works within group/maintenance team to validate VQ equipment calibration. Develop investment plans for New Model innovations and report at all stages of E Flow process.
  • Planning and validation of equipment modification/set up related to New Model. Identify areas of concern, develop plan for needed changes. Work with design side to countermeasure any necessary changes. Implement changes and report results including PDCA activity. Generate technical reports and problem summaries. Lead meetings with several different groups and departments. Act as factory liaison for equipment quality within VQD.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Required Education:

B.S. Engineering or Technical Degree or equivalent experience.

Required Experience:

0-6 years of experience in a technical role based on education

Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

Desired Skills:

Strong communication, Teamwork, positive attitude

Working Conditions

Additional Position Factors:

Average of 1-2 our OT per day, weekend work as needed.

Ability to travel as needed, domestic and international.

Flexibility in work hours and daily job function
