About this Position:

The New Model Specialist is responsible for Sv-PL activities for new model developments engaging in the development process to ensure service needs requirements are met. The Specialist ensures the flow of quality information to Aftersales Experience Division for schedule and task items necessary for product launches and in-market support. The New Model Specialist will assist in supporting Export service QIC processing and Export field technical solutions.

Responsibilities include:



  • Service Project Lead (Sv-PL) for Powersports and Power Products Development
  • Coordination internal Aftersales experience activity for Training, Pubs, Parts Preparation, and sample related activities for achieving new model launch goals and schedule.
  • Lead IQI (Initial Quality Inspections) process to confirm market quality of all new products
  • Communication of Monthly report data into Product Development Project teams
  • Monthly Reporting against quality targets for new models based on their new model launch monitoring period



Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:



  • 3 years technical experience in the pe/marine/auto or mc industry with an emphasis on product quality & service operations
  • Honda specific knowledge of the Quality Information Communications (QIC) & GiQ system process and product quality resolution
  • Minimum 2 years of experience objective setting and the PDCA process



Required Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience



Desired skills:



  • A thorough understanding of internal combustion engines
  • Familiarity with electro-mechanical products as they pertain to the Powersports, PE & marine industries.
  • Ability to effectively lead and influence a team to achieve organizational and company goals
  • Outstanding electronic and oral technical communication
