About this Position:

Lead and coordinate with the local AF MCS members to drive characteristic improvements within the regional AF category. Support with the analysis of regional KPI and production characteristic data leading to benchmark performance and best practice sharing. Provide Regional (RO) viewpoint for Local (LO) and Global (GO) strategies, New Model (NM) development, business plan projects and specification/technology confirmation.

Responsibilities include:



  • Facilitate AF Characteristics Analysis - Data analysis, benchmarking, best practice sharing
  • Correlate LO/RO/GO strategy and align with Global Standard 2 and Light Truck Standard direction related to New Model development, capacity/allocation studies, and business plan (BP) themes
  • Plan and facilitate regional meetings and discussions to advance communication, collaboration and deep understanding (Monthly MCS meeting, Q/D expert meetings and the AF managers summit)
  • Lead and/or support key DEBCC theme activity as requested (fastener commonization and torque angle)
  • Responsible for new technology/process studies to understand characteristic impact, investment cost, and ROI



Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:



  • 8 -10 years of relevant engineering work experience (focused in the AF category)



Required Education:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing Engineering Preferred); or equivalent relevant experience



Desired skills:



  • Knowledge and experience within the Honda business planning process
  • Strong verbal and written skills to communicate effectively both with customers and internal project teams
  • Business acumen in a technical environment

  • Frequent early morning/late night meetings with GO
  • Estimate 5-10 Business trips per year may be required to support regional initiatives and improve overall efforts to improve standardization across the region. This activity may require short-term assignments at other Honda sites for 1-to-2-week periods.
  • 5-15 hours of OT per week
