About this Position:

Monitor, investigate, analyze, report and present/promote assigned M/C Division product quality issues to Honda Motor Quality groups striving to improve and resolve quality issues in design and factory workmanship.

Responsibilities include:



  • Product quality reporting: Review product issues based on information received from the Dealer Technical, Warranty, Parts, social media and Customer Relations. Evaluate the causes/risk of the issues and report by QIC report.
  • Pursue resolution with HM and SED team members
  • New model service and new model release Activity: In depth evaluation of new models and report quality, durability, serviceability issues, mitigate new product quality issues after release using SED team and QIC reports to Honda Motor
  • Interaction with HM and R&D: Review issues with and respond to Honda Motor requests for information and follow-up on assigned model product issues.
  • MC division assistance and problem solving: Assist Field, Techline, Customer Relations, Press and Product Planning departments as subject matter experts for their assigned models, supplying current information, repairs, diagnostic and issue handling as related to the issue and product.
  • Project Lead for submitting assigned QIC reports from open to close. Confirm proper completion of QIC and QIS documents Investigate product issues daily and compile into database. Conduct daily/weekly review with SED team members.


Who we are seeking:



  • Required Work Experience:

    • Extensive M/C Division product knowledge and riding ability.
    • 5 years as a dealership technician or equivalent experience as a DSM


  • Required Education:

    • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience in motorcycle related fields. Training in failure analysis as needed.




Desired skills:



  • Technical communication both, written and verbal, to obtain and present accurate information that relates to product issues / concerns and transmit that information to the various Honda Factories, internal departments, and R&D.
