Job Purpose

American Honda Motor is looking for an experienced product manager to deliver innovative capabilities for Auto Sales. In this role, you will focus on building and launching new automobile pricing and incentive decision engine and pricing systems to improve pricing processes and customer's purchase experience. With a good understanding of our product and services, you will work closely with pricing team, software development, data science, finance, marketing, legal, and other business partners to define product requirements and launch solutions that allow our pricing team to set optimized prices efficiently, and for our customers to have a seamless purchasing experience across all channels. This involves working closely with developers and other stakeholders to ensure that the decision engine meeting the needs of its users, as well as identifying opportunities to improve and expand the engine's capabilities. You may also work with external business partners.


Key Accountabilities

  • Partner with Auto Sales, Incentive Planning, and Honda Financing teams to understand business goals and requirements.
  • Identify opportunities in setting optimal pricing and incentive offers to Honda customers. The end-to-end pricing process includes data collection, sales forecasting, price program mix, business review, and pricing execution. Define new solution on
  • pricing systems and processes and long-term roadmap to deliver business values for these opportunities.
  • Manage end-to-end product solution including research, business and technical requirement definition, user experience design, technical directions, development, and delivery.
  • Manage dependencies across business teams. Define and implement changes required to business processes and applications.
  • Prioritize and manage feature implementation, ensure product delivery meets strategy and requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Define product KPI and targets. Work with software and data engineering teams to implement product and analytic data requirements.
  • Define, implement, and track service quality and SLA metrics.
  • Regularly review product performance and development plan with business leader and stakeholders.
  • Maintain quality standards and process documentation, lead sprint reviews and retrospectives with internal and external working teams.
  • Contribute to the enterprise's Agile transformation byimplementing knowledge of agile principles and processes.
  • Provide peer coaching to junior product owners, program managers, and others developing in Product roles.



Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Minimum Educational Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent experience. Advanced degree and Machine Learning experience preferred.



Minimum Experience



  • 8-10 years of professional experience in project/product management, software development or implementing new technologies and services.
  • 5+ years of experience as product owner/manager with technical and software products.
  • Experience in managing product development lifecycle, including product vision, detail requirements, development, launch and execute go-to-market strategy.
  • Experience with B2C retail pricing, preferably e-commerce.
  • Excellent conceptual thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven record of taking ownership and delivering product roadmap in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to communicate and seek alignment with stakeholders across multiple business units.
  • Strong problem-solving skills - using data in identifying and solving problems. Set actionable product performance metrics and use them to continuously improve our product.


Other Job-Specific Skills



  • Demonstrates clear communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
  • Work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical, organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Automotive manufacturing corporate experience preferred.
