About this Position: The Safety Senior Specialist (Industrial Hygienist) applies their scientific and practical knowledge of the Health & Safety field in order to innovate, design, and improve systems, processes, equipment, and tools in their assigned areas to improve the Health & Safety characteristics in alignment with daily operations, new model, business plan, and/or innovation to achieve or exceed targets and promote safety excellence. They routinely investigate associate concerns, provide proactive exposure monitoring, and recommend controls to mitigate exposure and protect associate health & safety Responsibilities include: Key Accountabilities * Lead Department and Plant themes and complex improvement projects to significantly reduce risk factors in the work environment by conducting exposure studies according to the proactive industrial hygiene (IH) strategy and conducting IH activities in response to service requests submitted by local operations Required Experience: * 2-8 years of safety experience or equivalent Honda manufacturing experience based on education Required Education: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, or other ABET-certified safety and health program or equivalent related experience Other job specific skills: * Achievement of professional certification such as Advanced Safety Certificate, Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional, Safety Management Specialist.
