About this Position:

The New Model Technical Expert will ead NM technical judgment activity and independently manage supplier part & process assessment to support New Model project timing. The TE will provide technical leadership and high-level expertise to ensure part & process development can meet mass production quality requirements and demand.

Responsibilities include:



  • Confirm supplier product/process technical details. Provide technical leadership for supplier process development, process layout & flow, tooling/equipment, manufacturing quality standards (MQS), and/or Countermeasure Request Forms (CRF).
  • Lead Technical Evaluation meetings across all NMD areas
  • Provide technical support throughout tool trials and crisis activity, as needed
  • Work with supplier to ensure resolution of any part & process concerns
  • Review initial part conformance through dimensional analysis any additional requirements
  • Mentor and support team of associates for the department and oversee technical confirmations & judgments


Minimum Educational Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 10 years equivalent relevant experience required


Average Experience:



  • 6 - 8 Year's of experience, depending on education

  • Technical Analysis

  • Proficient in Microsoft
  • Strong Program Management and Leadership Experience


Additional Position Factors:



  • Office base + remote work with travel required. 1-3 days/week often overnight / International - weekly duration (increasing during critical development periods)
  • Potential for last minute travel (Crisis support)
  • Possible shift time adjustment to support needed activity
  • Production support as needed
