Department

Psych ER The following positions within Inpatient Adolescent Psychiatry, Inpatient Adult Psychiatry, Psychiatric Emergency Services, CARES, and Outpatient Behavioral Health Services are offering the opportunity to enroll in a new program offering a cash incentive to recognize your work treating patients with substance use disorders. This program is sponsored through the ACCESS (Advancing Careers, Competencies, and Equity in Substance Treatment Services) grant. Employees must be >0.6 FTE to be eligible. 50% of the bonus will be received 90 days after signing the program contract.

* Registered Nurses (RNs) may earn up to $7,500 by December 2024
* Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) may earn up to $3,500 by December 2024
* Care Navigators may earn up to $3,500 by December 2024 Job Summary

Under general supervision, performs various administrative and customer service duties. Supports bi-weekly and month end reporting of catering, floorstock, requisitions, and physical inventory. Prepares monthly training packets for department meetings. Manages storage of temperature logs, employee trainings, Safety Data Sheets, and vehicle certifications for regulatory compliance. Renews required annual documents for the food service operation. Compiles reports as requested and enters information into appropriate databases. Serves as department safety representative and participates on hospital committees. Answers telephone and other duties as requested.

Essential Functions:
  • Answer telephone calls in the main office, assist customers, patients and employees with concerns. (20%)
  • Accurately and timely input changes and data into computer system including but not limited to catering, floorstock, AD-13, guest and after-hours meals, requisitions, and physical inventory. (10%)
  • Prepares monthly training packets for department meeting. (10%)
  • Maintains and updates Safety Data Sheets and chemical inventory. (10%)
  • Manages storage of temperature logs, employee trainings, Safety Data Sheets, and vehicle certifications for regulatory compliance. Purges unnecessary files and follows storage and retention policy. (10%)
  • Serves are department Safety Representative, completes and documents quarterly Environment of Care Safety Checklists, and attends required safety meetings. Leads department Safety Committee. (10%)
  • Conducts weekly and monthly tests of the eye wash stations and hand sinks according to schedule. (10%)
  • Renews required licenses, certifications, insurance and labor postings for the food service operation annually. (10%)
  • Distributes weekly catering production sheets and communicates add-on orders in a timely manner. (10%)

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED Required

Work Experience:
  • 1-3 years clerical experience. Required and

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
    • Knowledge of budgeting principles and practices sufficient to assist the department to achieve their goals while adhering to this budget.
    • Intermediate knowledge of databases sufficient to be able to research, analyze, and report.
    • Telephone etiquette, computer, organization and communication skills are a must.
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities and needs at one time.
    • Skilled in independently adapting, interpreting and applying written guidelines, precedents, and standardized work practice to a variety of unprecedented or problematic situations.
    • Ability to maintain adequate office supplies.
    • Ability to demonstrate professional work behavior by following guidelines as established by policies and procedures.
    • Recognizes, initiates, and leads improvement efforts.
    • Microsoft System experience required.
