ASML US, LP brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Wilton, CT, Chandler, AZ, San Jose, CA and San Diego, CA. This position is located on-site in San Diego, CA. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, training, visits to EUV clean rooms and meetings, and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration, and innovation. Role and responsibilitiesThe intern position reports to the Quality Continuous Improvement department in the San Diego Factory Operational Excellence team and is responsible for planning and executing parts and process quality initiatives related to EUV, including root cause analysis and Corrective/Preventive action coordination, monitoring quality metrics, and conducting internal quality assessments. Coordinates cross-functional projects such as the LEAN improvement initiative and facilitates FMEA brainstorming and ranking sessions. Creates quality reports to measure and monitor parts and process performance, including SPC metrics. Supports diagramming and evaluating existing processes and executes process improvement projects. Analyzes metrics for product and process measurement and identification of future improvement opportunities. Collects data to help identify the root cause of problems and plan solutions. Creates corrective action reports and presentations as requested.
