Position Description:

The 2025 summer Marketing intern will be tasked with two main projects -

1) Investigate Eye Doctor Student Outreach and Loyalty Incubation to understand and make recommendation on how we embed the importance of Dry Eye, Allergy, and Proper Lens Care into students' learning journey and how we ensure Alcon products are seen as central to supporting their education journey and ultimately driving loyalty and recommendations to our brands before they even go into practice.

2) Explore untapped eCommerce Opportunities by investigating current platforms & exploring new platforms, incl. social commerce/other media commerce) and making recommendation on the eComm strategy.

The Alcon team is looking for a talented and motivated intern to join us onsite for next summer at the Fort Worth, TX location.

Alcon interns will have the opportunity to not only gain industry experience and network with other Alcon professionals. They will also have the chance to make a real-world impact by working on meaningful projects that will help patients and customers see brilliantly. Alcon also offer interns personal and professional development, high visibility and coaching and mentoring opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analyze findings, prepare presentations to discuss recommendations on key topics.

  • Self-starter who can work independently to investigate, ask questions of cross-functional key stakeholders, and collate information.

  • Propose strategies, recommendations, and ideas to support key objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to internship or co-op, and at least one additional semester following internship or co-op.

  • Must be pursuing at least a bachelor's level degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, E-Commerce or related major.

  • Academic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0

  • Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)

  • Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship (students on an F1 visa with CPT can be accommodated)

  • Ability to commit to a full time (40 hrs. per week) Intern position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Marketing, Advertising, and E-Commerce

  • Independent worker

  • Collaborative

  • Data Analysis Experience

  • Proficient in PowerPoint
