Job Description
The Opportunity Join our dedicated Title IX Compliance team as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Title IX Compliance, the Deputy Title IX Coordinator works closely with students, faculty, and staff to support and uphold Embry-Riddle's commitment to Title IX, by investigating cases, providing education, and ensuring compliance with the Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 federal civil rights law (Title IX). This role requires handling complex, technical, and highly confidential tasks with significant judgment and initiative. The Deputy Title IX Coordinator conducts initial meetings (intakes) and investigates grievances for Title IX related issues, such as sex/gender-based discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual misconduct, including but not limited to sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking. The Deputy Title IX Coordinator organizes and completes assignments while adhering to Title IX policies and other university guidelines. Staying informed about new laws and regulations from the Department of Education, the Deputy Title IX Coordinator participates in continuous training and professional development specific to Title IX. Additional responsibilities include supporting policy development, assisting in the development of trainings for the university community, and coordinating programs for students, faculty, and staff. The position also collaborates closely with Human Resources, Counseling, Residence Life, Disability/Accessibility Services, Safety and Security, Dean of Students, Health Services, Athletics, academic departments, and other staff. Support for Clery Act reporting is also part of this role. Responsibilities may evolve in alignment with changes to federal Title IX regulations. Key Responsibilities: Case Intake:
