Description
The Department of Molecular Biosciences at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for tenured and tenure-track faculty positions at all ranks in the areas of cancer biology, immunology, and cancer therapeutics. We are particularly interested in candidates who interface with data analytics, artificial intelligence, and use of large datasets to inform our understanding of human disease. Applicants whose research programs broadly align with the themes of Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics (AI DA) in the areas of cancer biology and generative AI are encouraged to apply, as Molecular Biosciences positions in these areas may be available through UT Austin's Cluster Hiring Program in AI DA. Candidates who are particularly well suited to the AI DA cluster hiring program will be given the option to be considered for this opportunity and may be asked to submit additional materials to the cluster hiring committee. Qualifications
Successful candidates are expected to establish and sustain a vibrant research program; serve as dedicated teachers and mentors to our increasingly diverse students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; and assist in the administrative and governance functions of the department, the university and the profession via service on committees as appropriate. Applicants at the assistant professor level must have a promising research agenda, and a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate student education and success. Applicants at the associate or full professor level must have a significant record of accomplishment in research, teaching, and service.
