Job Summary |
The Office of International Programs is seeking candidates for the position of Administrative Support Associate-Admin. The individual in this position reports to the Director of International Student & Scholar Services and is responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical support duties for the International Programs professional staff.
This individual will be the first point of contact for all units within the Office of International Programs and serve as the office receptionist/assistant. The incumbent will be responsible for greeting all visitors in a positive, enthusiastic, and approachable manner. |
Essential Functions |
Duties include, but not limited to: assisting international students and scholars with immigration inquiries, mailing of immigration documents, distributing incoming paperwork to appropriate team members, answering a multi-line telephone, routing visitors to the appropriate unit, and assisting immigration team members with various student related function. Must have the ability to learn and understand basic immigration regulations.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work under supervision, in a team and independently; strong organizational skills; ability to multitask, manage frequent interruptions, perform additional assigned tasks on short notice with few errors and initiative to recognize the needs of the office and offer support where appropriate. |

Level I: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in clerical and administrative support services.
Level II: High school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience in clerical and administrative support services.
*Substitution allowed for experience: When candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of (1) year relevant education per year of required experience. |
