Job Summary |
Auburn University is excited to begin the search for an Administrator of Outreach Programs I/II! The administrator in this position prepares social media marketing and other marketing duties, assists the
AVP of Outreach and Professional and Continuing Education with planning council meetings and reporting, plans, coordinates, delivers and manages outreach educational services and programs to accomplish outreach goals and objectives including communications, education, research, community assistance and quality management.

Essential Functions |
- Prepares social media and marketing duties to include regular postings in addition to maintenance and usage of the constant contact system.
- Assists AVP of Outreach and Professional and Continuing Education with planning University Professional and Continuing Education Council activities and other projects as assigned.
- Develops and coordinates outreach programs for targeted groups; assesses program needs, organizes program material; evaluates program success.
- Meets with clientele to define needs or problem areas..
- Develops and conducts in-service training which includes program design and delivery.
- Assists in the development of or develops marketing plans and publicity materials for distribution to target audience.
- Manages and assists in the development of budgets and maintains financial records related to a specific activity, project or service.
- Develops and maintains database and/or website related to a specific activity, project or service.
- Acts a project manager in planning and coordinating activities to support a specific program.
- May research, prepare, and/or write grants, applications and fundraising proposals to sources at local, state and national levels.
- May conduct research for an activity, program or service and writes articles and reports and develops strategies and avenues to disseminate the information and research.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications |
Level I- Bachelor's degree in discipline appropriate to position.
Level II- Bachelor's degree in discipline appropriate to position plus 2 years of experience in the design, implementation, delivery and management of educational programs/services.
Substitutions allowed for Experience:
Graduate degrees accepted in lieu of experience for advanced levels, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience. |
Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications
Minimum Skills and Abilities |
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, a strong appreciation for the ethic of customer service
- Able to simultaneously manage multiple projects and deadlines, and appreciate diversity among constituent groups
- Possess strong computer skills and be able to apply problem-solving techniques to the management of programs
- Positive, team-oriented attitude; an entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to think creatively
