University of Pittsburgh, Department of Radiology PET Radiochemistry Director Assistant/Associate, NT (full-time) The University of Pittsburgh's Department of Radiology is recruiting for a full-time, non-tenure faculty position (Assistant/Associate) to serve as PET Radiochemistry Director. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. As a leading academic institution with a strong commitment to research and innovation, we are looking for an experienced professional to lead our PET radiochemistry program and contribute to cutting-edge advancements in molecular imaging. The PET Radiochemistry Director will support ongoing and new research and investigational radiopharmaceutical production activities as part of the overall PET Center's research portfolio. Job responsibilities include: * Support the existing funded research portfolio related to radiotracer development, research, and investigational radiopharmaceutical production; * Provide guidance and direction related to new research and investigational radiopharmaceutical production; * Provide regulatory/compliance oversight and support for research and investigational radiopharmaceutical production activities within a USP <823> regulatory environment; * Build relationships and work collaboratively with other researchers and clinician scientists within the Department and Institution as well as external institutions/organizations; * Training and management of staff in radiochemistry methods and applications * Service center support A successful candidate should have the following qualifications: * PhD in Radiochemistry, Radiopharmaceutical Sciences, Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry o Research Assistant professor: at least 5 years of experience in academic research and investigational radiopharmaceutical production o Research Associate Professor: at least 8 years of experience in academic research and investigational radiopharmaceutical production * Demonstrated research interest in radiochemistry/radiopharmaceutical sciences using positron emitting radionuclides (especially carbon-11 and fluorine-18) * Previous experience with regulatory/compliance oversight and support for research and investigational radiopharmaceutical production activities within a USP <823> regulatory environment The successful applicant will be appointed in the Department of Radiology and would support research activities across the University of Pittsburgh PET Center research portfolio.
