The Department of Dermatology seeks academic-minded dermatologists and dermatopathologists to join our full-time faculty at the rank of Instructor. Board certified and board eligible physicians with interests in general and complex dermatology, oncodermatology, dermatologic surgery, pediatric dermatology and/or cosmetic dermatology are welcome to apply. Qualified candidates should possess an MD or MD, PhD degree.

Our department serves a diverse, medically complex population within the greater Pittsburgh area, while also drawing patients from throughout Pennsylvania and the tri-state area. The expansive University of Pittsburgh/UPMC campus includes 40 hospitals, 800 outpatient clinical locations, and an international healthcare presence. The Department of Dermatology sees patients in our seven clinics, providing services that include general dermatology, phototherapy, laser, Mohs micrographic surgery, and aesthetic services as well as inpatient consultations. Our Dermatopathology unit is onsite in our Oakland campus, with four full-time dermatopathologists and two dermatopathology fellows. Our teledermatology program provides synchronous and asynchronous care to patients throughout the state, and is utilized for inpatient consults and in-office e-consults with community physicians. Additionally, we have opportunities for clinical research and collaboration with clinical and basic science colleagues on campus available to those with an interest in research.
