INVISTA is seeking a Machinery Lead to support the Asset Management group at our Houston Propylene Plant.
The Machinery Lead is responsible for supervising a team of Machinery Engineers and Specialists. Houston Propylene was the first Catofin propane dehydrogenation plant in the United States, and worldwide, we remain the most productive Catofin plant in our size class. The ideal candidate would have a passion for developing others, collaborating with technical groups and operations, and a drive for advancing rotating equipment. The Machinery Lead will work a 9/80 schedule and is eligible for relocation incentives. What You Will Do * Working lead and technical SME for Machinery issues * Supervise and develop the Machinery Engineers and Specialists * Assist in driving priorities across the Asset Management Machinery Engineering Group * Machinery Mechanical Integrity Program Owner * Machinery site asset strategies owner and developer * Lead and support site RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) efforts on Machinery equipment * Assist the projects group and other site groups with economic assessments of projects * Own machinery scoping, planning, and execution support for outages and turnarounds Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Five (5) or more years' experience as a Millwright, Specialist, or Mechanical Engineer in a process industry such as refining, chemical, petrochemicals * Experience leading a team or project group with multiple stakeholders * Ability to travel up to 10% of the time * Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship What Will Put You Ahead * Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering * 10+ years of experience as a Millwright or Mechanical Engineer in a process industry, such as refining or petrochemicals * Previous experience as a supervisor At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
