A Manager of Project Finance & Corporate Development position is available within our Corporate Headquarters located in North Kansas City, MO. PF&D has a broad mandate that includes (but not limited to) serving as the center of excellence for financial and strategic matters related to Public Private Partnerships (P3's), private development projects, corporate strategy & acquisitions
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Financial and economic analysis of potential projects, new markets, new technologies, potential partners, competitors, and M&A targets to evaluate profitability, risk, and other factors.
- Recommends Go/No-Go decisions for investments in partnerships or projects. Leads analysis and prepares presentations to management and investment committees.
- Project development activities including financial modeling, commercial structuring and negotiation, and project financing.
- Support project bids and project financing for public-private partnership infrastructure projects, including preparing qualifications and proposals, reviewing commercial agreements, and analyzing potential financing, development, and partnership structures.
- Taking lead from company management and business development professionals, contributes to business development strategy. Where appropriate, support Garney's corporate leadership in BD opportunities, especially when relevant for P3.
- Maintain industry presence at P3 conferences and cultivate relationships with public sector, advisors
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, strong work ethic and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- MBA and/or other advanced degree
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in acquisitions, infrastructure investing, P3 financing or development.
- Passion and commitment to infrastructure development
- Prior business development and proposal development experience
- Previous experience working with Private Equity or Infrastructure funds
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure investing
- Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy and respect for others, engaging in active listening, and building effective working relationships
- Demonstrated leadership in managing up & down
- Analyzing acquisition opportunities and being part of the team making recommendations to senior management.
