As Fleet Coordinator, you provide administrative support and report to the Fleet & Reverse Logistics Manager in overseeing and managing the organization's fleet of vehicles and equipment. You assist with various tasks related to fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, scheduling, record-keeping, and coordination with drivers and business partners. You play a crucial support role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the fleet. You will be based out of the Greensboro, NC PPG facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Fleet & Reverse Logistics Manager in monitoring driver performance, including tracking driver schedules, hours of service, and compliance with company policies and FMCSA regulations.
  • Assist in coordinating driver assignments and scheduling to optimize fleet utilization and minimize downtime. Assignments to include Outbound, Inter Plant transfers, and 3rd party revenue loads
  • Assist in coordinating and scheduling vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring that all vehicles are in optimal condition and comply with safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Assist in managing the fleet's fuel consumption and expenses, monitoring fuel usage, and analyzing data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Help in coordinating vehicle inspections and registrations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Report on Driver safety performance, areas of improvement, and assist with action plans.
  • Assist in managing the fleet's inventory of tools and equipment, ensuring an adequate supply is maintained.
  • Consolidate and track fleet data related to fuel consumption, maintenance costs, vehicle utilization and driver productivity.

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred: additional education or certification in fleet management or a related field is a plus.
  • 49 CFR Training.
  • 5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet management.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel preferred
  • Strong organizational, attention to detail and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with fleet management software, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes, as well as familiarity with relevant safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with drivers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
