About Us: Join our team in supporting the DC Medicaid program as a Provider Inquiry Senior Associate. This is a full-time position, which focuses on delivering quality service to the DC Medicaid Provider community via telephone interaction from a central brick and mortar office, call center environment. We are looking for a dedicated individual with a strong background in medical claims and customer service, who can navigate complex information quickly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promptly answer incoming calls and respond to written inquiries in a polite and professional manner.
  • Research and provide detailed explanations regarding claims, including submissions, denials, and appeals.
  • Assist with recipient eligibility, payment inquiries, and troubleshooting technical issues with web-based provider interfaces.
  • Offer information, direct calls, and refer Providers to other departments as needed.
  • Accurately document all interactions in our system.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the department.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a medical call center environment with a strong emphasis on customer service.
  • Knowledge of insurance medical claims is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using computers and related software.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must be vaccinated as this is a requirement for employment.
