Job Description

As a Project Coordinator,you will:

A week in the life of a Project Coordinator:



  • Provide coordination for Enterprise Architecture Review Board (EARB) meetings with C-level leadership (CTO, DCIO, CIO), Enterprise Architects, and Engineersat the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA).
  • Develop artifacts including templates, meeting minutes, roadmaps, schedules used for decision making with DSCA technical leadership.
  • Determine areas for improvement and efficiencies in the technicalexecution of the DSCA IT Program.
  • Present analysis and recommendations to the DSCA Chief Technical Office (CTO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO)
  • Assist in the coordination of technical projects for the DSCAcustomer.
  • Assist in the planning, communication, and reporting of each project to improve synergy between the DSCA Technical Staff and DSCA Govt leadership.
  • Attend in-person and teleconference meetings, provide meeting support documentation when applicable as well as provide weekly and ad-hoc status reports.
  • Understand highly complex technical terminology and be able to translate into non-technical project status in terms of cost, performance, and schedule. He/she must have the ability to blend creativity, problem solving, and technical skills to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ Years in a project management/program managementroles reporting directly to a Department of Defense (DoD) client
  • Bachelors Degree in Management, Business Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical degree is desired
  • Experience supporting high level federal government customers
  • Highly proficient oral and written communication with Technical and Management staff required
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Proficient with SharePoint, Jira, Confluence.
  • PMP Certification Highly Desired
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain Secret clearance in a timely manner

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $90,000-$100,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
