Job Description:
Clinical Risk Managers are responsible for coordinating the organization-wide Patient Safety, Risk Management and Professional Liability Programs. These programs are designed to provide an integrated and coordinated effort towards risk management, which helps OU Health (OUH) and OU Health Physicians (OUHP) to control losses related to professional liability, general liability, and property damage. Clinical Risk Managers help reduce errors and hazardous conditions by utilizing a systematic, coordinated and continuous approach to the improvement of patient safety. University of Oklahoma Medical Center Schedule Available: Full-Time, 8:00am - 5:00pm (including on-call, max. every 4-5 weeks for 7 days - after hours/weekends)General Description: This position oversees comprehensive, system-wide patient safety and risk mitigation programs by developing, implementing, and evaluating the patient safety and risk mitigation program for the organization. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing patient safety programs to prevention patient harm, investigating patient events and identifying action plans for the resolution of all safety-related incidents. General Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in applicable area, including healthcare management, risk/patient safety, compliance or regulatory, etc. required. Experience: Two (2) years in healthcare, clinical, patient safety, regulatory, or risk management roles. Preferred: Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate Compact RN License (eNLC). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
