Field Color Support

As a Field Color Support Specialist, you will be responsible for root cause analysis of any customer color issues, remote color support for customers including application and color adjustment, color field auditing and competitive paint market intelligence. Auditing, variant program, variant data, variant selection, customer support. Major shop conversions. This position is based in Brunswick, GA.

Responsibilities

• Color Formulation - Through application of color theory, you will identify color problems in different paint qualities and create formulations to satisfy customer demands, while on-site at customer facilities.
• Color Application - You will assess local conditions and offer appropriate application training to achieve proper color while maintaining / strengthening the customer's business process. Must react to complexities in high-volume customer environments.
• Variant Program support - Per OEM color palette, you will identify color variances that could be offered as variants to all markets. Regular auditing of all available OE vehicles / colors is required.
• Refinish Business support - You will be front line color support for any Refinish needs including new conversions, competitor threats, and problem accounts. Skills will require expert color matching, application techniques and ability to gain confidence of customers.
• Inventory Control - Responsible for ordering inventory through online order entry system to bring inventory to each port of entry for the purpose of color formulation and color adjustment. Ensuring that ordered products and materials are accounted for.
• Development of Self and Others - Must increase depth of knowledge in color formulation, applications techniques, new pigmentations and Refinish paint technologies. Must share knowledge and experience among color technical team, including POE's.

Qualifications

• 1 or more years' experience in color matching in Refinish paint technologies.
• Must demonstrate ability to see color properties and develop efficient/logical methodology to adjust formulations to achieve color match.
• Must have experience (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
• May be required to travel for extended periods of time to meet our needs. Must be willing to travel up to 75%. Demonstrate willingness to travel to support Refinish customers and meet our needs.
• Experience with body shop process is required.
