Duties and Responsibilities	The Associate Director, Development will serve as a front-line gift to advance the acquisition, retention, and revenue growth across the three schools in the Health Sciences Campus. They are a key part of the Advancement team focused on: Identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding 4-and 5-figure gifts through management of a portfolio of 200 leadership annual gift donors and prospects. Executing a minimum of 150 visits per year with donors and prospects, including a significant focus on discovery and qualification among Chicagoland area prospects with travel outside of Chicago possible and required weekend and evening work for donor events and visits. Soliciting a minimum of 25 leadership annual gift solicitations annually that effectively match donor interests across Stritch, Nursing and Parkinson. Collaborating with Advancement and the Health Sciences Campus Dean to drive development strategy for individual donors and the fundraising program at large, including written donor strategies, briefing, and solicitation materials, both for direct asks and those led by senior staff. Partnering with the Managing Director, Health Sciences Campus to develop proposals and reports or leverage other systematically developed tools to advance relationships with donors and prospects. Partnering with colleagues across Advancement - including Regional, Prospect Management & Research, Annual Giving, and Alumni Engagement teams - to identify new prospects for qualification and contribute to the growth of pipeline programs, such as Stritch Reunion and the Nursing Affinity Group. Modeling creativity, persistence, and proactivity required to meet or surpass fundraising goals. Providing routine quantitative analysis of portfolio activities to senior leadership and Adapt approaches in response to measured outcomes. Maintaining timely contact records in the database and analysis of donor. Delivering timely and effective follow-up to prospects and donors. Other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience	3-5 years of development experience, preferably in higher education or another major cultural, healthcare, or civic setting. Proven quantifiable track record of personally soliciting gifts is required. A bachelor's degree is required.
Qualifications	Possess excellent persuasive verbal communication skills and high-caliber writing skills. Demonstrated understanding of the moves management process. Ability to work independently and as a collaborative member of a team and diverse community. Personal belief in mission, goals, and objectives of private higher education and Loyola University Chicago.
