LSSI is hiring a full-time Custodian, Monday through Friday. Under direction of Maintenance Manager provides direct building custodial and light maintenance for all facets of physical plant and grounds in accordance with health and safety requirements of LSSI/HUD.

Essential Functions:
  • Keeps the exterior and interior common and mechanical areas clean, sanitized, and in orderly condition by performing all daily housekeeping duties.
  • Follow all standards regarding safety, licensing, regulatory and agency requirements.
  • Performs light maintenance and assistance with turnover apartments as needed.
  • Responds promptly to emergencies.
Position Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/Equivalent or 6 months or more experience of maintenance related experience.
  • Comprehend and follow instructions, perform assigned tasks, maintain an appropriate work pace, perform complex and/or varied tasks, relate to others, make decisions, direct/control plan work, communicate in writing and verbally.
  • Willingness and ability to participate/obtain HUD, LSSI, OSHA, NSPIRE/REAC, etc. related training.
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing.
  • Access to an insured vehicle with required and valid IL statutory minimum insurance coverage.
