JOB DETAILS Base Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour plus $1 per hour shift differential Shift: 7am- 5 pm Wednesday-Saturday DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load product on trucks for delivery in a timely and safe manner, using appropriate packaging methods for safe transport
- Inspect and change all pieces for the correct bundle, crate, etc. to correspond with bills of material
- Properly complete load inspection sheets and return them to shipping office personnel
- Unload bundles of product off of lines, placing bundles in proper areas of the plant
- Will be operating spot trucks to pull trailers
- Must perform other duties in the department as assigned
- May be required to work Monday and Tuesday also
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is a must
- A fundamental understanding of truck loading procedures is a plus
- Must be able to operate a forklift, bander, nail gun, overhead crane, saws, and various department equipment
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must possess a good attendance record
- Must be willing/ able to work overtime and available to work all shifts
- Must be willing/able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Must be a responsible individual who is a self-starter
- Must possess excellent communication skills in order to interact in a professional manner with internal/ external customers
- Must be detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.
- Must be a team player and safety conscious
- Comfort and familiarity with power hand tools
- Willingness to train, certify and operate forklift and overhead crane
- Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
- Preferably with experience in manufacturing
- Preferably with experience reading a tape measure
