Loader Specialist Day Shift

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour plus $1 per hour shift differential

Shift: 7am- 5 pm Wednesday-Saturday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Load product on trucks for delivery in a timely and safe manner, using appropriate packaging methods for safe transport
• Inspect and change all pieces for the correct bundle, crate, etc. to correspond with bills of material
• Properly complete load inspection sheets and return them to shipping office personnel
• Unload bundles of product off of lines, placing bundles in proper areas of the plant
• Will be operating spot trucks to pull trailers
• Must perform other duties in the department as assigned
• May be required to work Monday and Tuesday also

• A high school diploma or equivalent is a must
• A fundamental understanding of truck loading procedures is a plus
• Must be able to operate a forklift, bander, nail gun, overhead crane, saws, and various department equipment
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must possess a good attendance record
• Must be willing/ able to work overtime and available to work all shifts
• Must be willing/able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must be a responsible individual who is a self-starter
• Must possess excellent communication skills in order to interact in a professional manner with internal/ external customers
• Must be detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.
• Must be a team player and safety conscious
• Comfort and familiarity with power hand tools
• Willingness to train, certify and operate forklift and overhead crane
• Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure
