Job Summary: The Production Manager is responsible for all areas of Plant Operations under the guidance of the Assistant Plant Manager. These responsibilities include safe, cost efficient and timely production of required goods, coordination of materials and inventories, production scheduling, and process improvement and optimization to support the business plan and ensure compliance with all legal requirements. The Production Manager is also responsible for employee technical skills and standard work development and will work with Management and Accounting to develop and insure adherence to operational budgets. Work Environment: In this role, working in an office environment located on the production floor is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud outside of the office area. Employees must wear hearing protection and all other assigned Personal Protective Equipment. Temperature can range from extreme cold (<40 degrees) to extreme heat (>90 degrees). The atmosphere contains fumes, dust and odors. This position will use a computer, cellphone and other office equipment to perform the job successfully.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, feel, talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision as well as color recognition.
