Make banking a Fifth Third better GENERAL FUNCTION: Leads the Community Impact Program signature service activation process.Supports consistent CRA reporting and service activation, enabling the Bank to optimally leverage resources. Enhances the Community Needs Assessment (CNA) process to obtain consistent information and data to understand community priorities and develop approaches, tools, and networks to put the customer at the center.Optimizes the Bank's program reporting operations by supporting the Bank's compliance requirements through effective and timely reporting.Manages the CRA service activation process for signature and non-signature events, contributing to the bank's achievement of our CRA Service Strategy. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the management of signature and non-signature event activation and the development and management of surveys and reports to capture responsive CRA strategies and community needs that align with the Corporate Responsibility Office's Bancorp strategy.
Coordinate efforts with both internal and external partners impacted by the project. Establish, foster and maintain working relationships with peers, leadership and internal and external stakeholders Analyze data by numerous delivery channels, geographic areas, and product types to identify best practices and develop narratives in preparation for regulatory reporting. Lead the production and analysis of quarterly and annual reporting and completion of service activation reporting. Prepare and manage internal regional communications as well as provide updates and outcomes to ensure timely receipt of reports and requested information. Identify areas of process improvement to increase departmental efficiencies. Actively participate and/or lead regular meetings with peers to build and maintain knowledge of current and emerging issues and risks in the compliance and service activation environment. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Five + years' experience with the Community Reinvestment Act. Advanced understanding of Fair Lending and Responsible Banking laws and regulations and the technical requirements of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Interagency Fair Lending. Three + years' work experience involving sizable analytical responsibilities. Strong analytical skills required to gather, assess, validate, and present quantitative and qualitative data. Able to develop and support conclusions and make practical recommendations to stakeholders. Understanding of the Federal Reserve and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) examination standards and general regulatory issuances. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Effectively communicates upward, downward and laterally. Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment and apply logical and critical thought processes when developing and recommending solutions. Demonstrates working or functional proficiency sufficient to apply the use of software applications (Microsoft Office Suite) without assistance and minimal supervision. WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like. Extended time at desk and/or viewing computer screen. Travel expectations of 75%.
