The UCR College Corps (Program) is part of the #CaliforniansForAll Governor's initiative which provides up to 150 college students at UCR with opportunities to support and learn from organizations working in three priority areas: K-12 Education, Climate Action, and Food Insecurity. At UCR, College Corps will be a partnership with California Volunteers; University of California, Riverside (UCR); City of Riverside; and the Riverside Unified School District and funded via contributions from each partner. Under guidance by an Assistant Director (AD), the Fellow Engagement Specialist (FES) maintains a critical role to communicate and monitor engagement and activities of College Corps Fellows. Responsibilities include the annual recruitment and onboarding of Fellows; collecting, organizing, and analyzing data
on Fellow attendance and engagement; and communicating and engaging Fellows in their service assignments and in program activities. The FES builds rapport and relationships with Fellows to ensure Fellows are actively serving and making timely progress towards their contract total by their end date. The AD will provide FES guidance and direction on recruitment and outreach priorities, the FES will brief the AD on attendance and data trends indicative of Fellow engagement patterns. This position is a grant funded, starting in November 2024 and expected to run through July 2026 with a possibility of extension based on continued availability of funding and program performance. The full salary range for the Fellow Engagement Specialist is $20.83 - $33.96 hourly. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $22.81 hourly. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
