You Will

This person can be based in the South in any of the following states: TX, OK, MO, LA, AL, MS or FL.

The ShoeMobile Services Manager is responsible for the general operations of assigned market ShoeMobiles. This includes coaching, leading and developing the Shoemobile Representatives to ensure customer requirments are met and that profitability is maximized through sales and strategic logistical ShoeMobile scheduling while meeting Department of Transportation regulations.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate customer Shoemobile visits by working with Footwear Program Specialists and other Sales Team Members.
  • Lead, coach and manageShoeMobile Service Representatives scheduling ensuring customer expectations are met.
  • EnsureDOT standards are adhered to and incorporated into ShoeMobile scheduling consideration. Administers the Truck Safety Program for Department of Transportation compliance including trip reports, log books and all other DOT regulations for driver on duty scheduling.
  • Coordinate customer Shoemobile visits by working with Footwear Program Specialists and other Sales Team Members.
  • Manage ShoeMobile Service Representatives scheduling ensuring customer expectations are met while providing coaching and development.
  • EnsureDOT standards are adhered to and incorporated into ShoeMobile scheduling consideration. Administers the Truck Safety Program for Department of Transportation compliance including trip reports, log books and all other DOT regulations for driver on duty scheduling.
  • Ensure core stocking levels for ShoeMobiles are met while recommending adjustments based on customer needs and varying product sales.
  • Confirm ShoeMobile replenishments and Takestock trip reports files are processed following ShoeMobile trips.
  • Complete Benefit Management System programing and Point of Sales systems with customer footwear program ensuring the ShoeMobile Sales Representative have accurate files when arriving at customer locations.
  • Create customer account files for each ShoeMobile customer prior to new Customer launch and ShoeMobile visit.
  • Verify and test all ShoeMobile systems are operating weekly prior to the ShoeMobile trip.
  • Safeguard profitable Shoemobile Fleet by scheduling routine maintenance and repairs of the assigned fleet.
  • Coordinate the assistance of other team members for complex ShoeMobile visits where a large customer team member population is expected.
  • Lead the ShoeMobile Sales Representative scheduling, Paid Time Off and team member backfills
  • Lead the onboarding and training of new ShoeMobile representative in assigned market.
  • Coach department in maintaining productive customer relationships
  • Foster an environment that values process innovation and continuous improvement.

You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics or Operations Management. Project Management Certification preferred, not mandatory.
  • Breadth of business and technical understanding and insight as it relates to Logistics, physical plant and material handling systems.
  • Understands how to translate broad business objectives, company direction, and customer requirements into Logistics requirements.
  • Builds strong networks within the organization and within Grainger.
  • Ability to travel 50% - states include: TX, OK, MO, LA, AL, MS and FL - ideally live near a major airport
