Your Role With Us: The Orthopedic/Joint Replacement Center of Excellence RN cares holistically for each patient and their family. We provide care for patients with fractures, orthopedic trauma, and elective orthopedic surgeries, and have an extremely successful and busy total hip and knee joint replacement program. Salem Health was the first hospital in Oregon to achieve Joint Commission Disease Specific Certification for both hip and knee replacements, and has maintained certification throughout each subsequent recertification cycle. Care is provided following evidence-based clinical pathways, and in close collaboration with therapy services, medical providers, care managers and other ancillary services. Click here to learn more about what makes nursing at Salem Health exceptional.Residency Details:Participate in our uniquely designed training which was developed to support new RN graduates and effectively prepare them to utilize the nursing process to provide safe, quality healthcare to patients with a variety of acute and critical, medical, surgical and rehabilitation needsCourse content and curriculum is based upon recommendations of the National League of Nursing (NLN), the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and the American Nurses Association (ANA), and various peer-reviewed articles. The residency is then tailored specifically to the culture of Salem Health.The first month will include a mix of skills training and classes. The next 2-5 months are spent on the unit you were hired onto with a preceptor. The rest of the year is general support and mentoring. Bachelor of Arts in nursing also acceptedCandidates with an Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) also encouraged to apply. *Agreement to complete BSN within three (3) years of hire required.Less than one (1) year of nursing experience required.Unencumbered licensure to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon required one week prior to hire date.BLS required.Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics is an equal opportunity employer.
