Accounting Analysis

Duro-Last, a Division of Holcim Solutions and Products US, LLC, has an opening for an Accounting Analysis at our Corporate Headquarters located in Saginaw, Michigan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and supporting the accounting team in various financial processes. This is a full-time, salary-based position with excellent benefits and growth opportunities that would report to the Plant Controller. This role requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Essential Job Functions:

• Support the month-end close process by preparing necessary journal entries.
• Analyze financial data and generate reports to support management decision-making.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for all accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies to mitigate risk.
• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and insights.
• Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and support.
• Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiative with the finance team.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Proficient in accounting software (AS400) and Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
