Job Details:

Purpose

Collect, organize, manage, analyze, and present Department, College, and University assessment data including information about students, faculty and staff to support institutional research for College and departments. Potential to supervise graduate research assistants to support functions.

Responsibilities
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and present data for Department, College, and University internal use (e.g., enrollment, semester credit hours, alumni database, etc.), external reports (e.g., US News and World report data) and accreditation purposes (e.g., placement and retention data and analysis).

  • In coordination with Departments and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, track student success in both completing their degree requirements and in job placements upon graduation and in gathering and analyzing data to support graduate program reviews.

  • In coordination with Departments and the Dean's office, provide planning, data gathering, and evaluation of the departments' and College's Strategic Plans.

  • Summarize, visualize, and translate data (e.g., LONESTARP3 data) for academic and non-academic audiences, and in collaboration with Dean's Office and Director of Strategy & External Relations.

  • Design surveys, distribute, and analyze results (e.g., exit surveys for graduating students) to assess experience and quality.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Master's degree in relevant applied (education and social sciences area) or quantitative research area. Required expertise in use of Excel and in use of additional data analytic and visualization software (e.g., Tableau, STATA, SAS, SPSS, and/or R). Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. Required minimum of 2 years of experience in educational, research, institutional research or related settings.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in relevant applied (education and social sciences area preferred) or quantitative research area. Institutional research background is recommended and especially in higher education context. Demonstrated experience with qualitative and quantitative analyses and facility with database creation and merging. Preferred minimum of three to five years of relevant work experience.

Salary Range

$86,000 + depending on qualifications
