Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform analysis and programming activities as assigned. Act as a project leader for assigned projects. This includes responsibility of the team members' coding, test results, documentation and program implementation. Have full technical knowledge for all phases of a project. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written.

  • Act as a project leader for assigned projects.
  • Develop project plan to identify tasks required to complete the project.
  • Project leadership includes responsibility of the team members' coding, test results, documentation and project implementation.
  • Provide critical motivation and momentum to project team members to ensure a successful implementation within the projects' deadline.
  • Perform analysis and programming as assigned.
  • Consult with users and/or external vendors to determine feasibility, desired results and the method to be used to accomplish the objective.
  • Provide technical knowledge necessary to staff member(s). Serve as a resource when needed.
  • On call 24 hours a day to resolve application problems that affect the production environment.
  • Design new applications or determine modifications to existing applications in order to meet user's needs.
  • Prepare detailed project specifications from which program, and/or multi-platform applications will be written.
  • Provide the necessary instructions to the staff member(s) assigned to the project.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Qualifications:

    • Education
      • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
      • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and some graduate work in management preferred.
    • Experience
      • Four (4) years experience in systems analysis design and programming in a client/server environment required.
      • Familiar with MS Office products required.
      • Five (5) years experience in systems analysis, design and experience of project leadership preferred.
      • Experience with applications systems: Ellucian, Blackboard and/or Business Objects preferred.


    Working Conditions:

  • PC and application servers.
  • Familiar with one or more of the following: Crystal Reports, Access, SQL Server, MSOffice Products and adhoc reporting tools.
  • General office environment.
  • Varied working hours at unusual times.
  • This position requires a background check and drug screen.

    Hiring Range:
    Classified 14 Salary Factor 125/84,800.00 - 102,900.00

    Anticipated start date: January 2025
