About This Role

The Graduate School is seeking a part-time event coordinator. The event coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of Graduate School events including planning, execution, and evaluating impact. This person reports to the Assistant Director of Student Success and works collaboratively with all staff members of the Graduate School to coordinate events.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in event planning, hospitality, communications, public relations, or relevant field.
  • Experience coordinating events within or supporting a collegiate or academic setting
  • Experience planning and executing large-scale events
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Proactive and has ability to work independently
  • Able to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technology and computer programs (i.e. Microsoft Office software, Zoom)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
