Project Manager I
Apply now Job Summary The Project Manager will provide support to Dr. Ana Martinez-Donate in the Community Health & Prevention Department. The Project Manager will work on two NIH-funded R01 grants. One of them is Project Migrante, an observatory of health and access to services among migrants traveling through the Mexico - U.S. border region. This project consists of a series of surveys dating back to 2009 that have gathered data on the health status, health behaviors, and contextual determinants of health among Mexican and other Latin American migrant flows converging on the Norther Mexican border region. Different surveys have emphasized HIV risk, chronic disease, mental health, and substance use. This project is led by Dr. Ana Martinez-Donate, Professor of Community Health and Prevention at Drexel University (www.martinez-donate.weebly.com). The second project is CRISOL Mente, a community-engaged, multi-level intervention to reduce mental health disparities among Latino communities in Philadelphia, PA. The intervention includes a lay health worker (LHW)-based component to connect community members to free, culturally tailored mental health services at two community clinics; an LHW-driven social marketing campaign to increase awareness and reduce stigma related to mental health; and coalition building activities to strengthen the capacity of Latino-serving organizations providing mental health services to Latino communities in the area. This project is co-led by Dr. Ana Martinez-Donate and Dr. Mariana Lazo, Associate Research Professor at the Dornsife School of Public Health, Drexel University. The hybrid position will include remote and in-office hours varying to meet project's needs. Essential Functions
