Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Role/Purpose:
A Technical Assembler I will use a variety of hand/power tools, fixtures, work instructions, mechanical prints and electrical schematics to assemble Product Inspection equipment while meeting our safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow detailed mechanical prints, electrical schematics, parts lists, assembly instructions, processes and procedures
- Construct product inspection equipment in accordance with Risk Assessment and Safe Mechanical and Electrical guidelines
- Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and material to Assembly Lead and/or Assembly Manager
- Document actions by completing quality checklists
- Work with Engineering to understand our process capabilities and develop ideas that reduce costs and improve quality
- Provide hands on job function training to coworkers as needed
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing function
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Accurately track and record time spent on projects
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures
- Follow detailed electrical and mechanical schematics, parts lists, assembly instructions, processes and procedures
- Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50lbs
- Other duties as assigned
What You Need to Succeed
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Safety aware
- Quality focused
- Good time management
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in multiple positions (ie Stand, sit, laying, squat, bend, kneeling) for prolonged periods of time
- Self-starter
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
**OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED BASED ON BUSINESS NEEDS.**
Minimum Education / Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years assembly experience
