The Mgr Healthcare and Wellness will lead the oversight and enhancement of our team member benefits programs and internal customer service delivery. Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, the Manager, Healthcare and Wellness, will partner closely with the Director to design, implement, and administer team member benefits programs, ensuring they attract and retain talent while supporting company objectives. Manages a team of benefit analysts and provides leadership in the establishment of effective and flexible strategies to achieve innovative and cost-effective benefit programs. Assure that healthcare programs promote team member productivity and good health. Current programs managed under this position include medical, dental and vision programs; life insurance and AD&D, Disability programs (STD, LTD, FMLA, ADA, PPL and Military); Paid Time Off; Employee Assistance Program; Spending Accounts; wellness & corporate fitness facilities; prescription drug program; retiree medical programs and death claims process.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Manages the administration of healthcare and wellness programs for all US affiliates, includes managing a team of Benefits Analysts responsible for providing healthcare and wellness service delivery to our team members, retirees and survivors.
  • Recommends healthcare programs to management by studying team member requirements, trends and developments in benefits offered by other organizations. Contributes to the overall effectiveness of our benefit programs and team member value proposition.
  • Supports management decision-making process by analyzing benefit options. Consults with vendors, consultants, finance partners and legal as necessary to implement healthcare programs.
  • Manages the communication of healthcare and wellness programs by developing various communications as needed to support new programs and initiatives in the form of written memos, PowerPoint and website changes (TECOedge and MyBenefitsHub). Present benefits information to a variety of audiences, during open enrollment, new hire orientation and others as needed, to educate team members on our healthcare offerings.
  • Project management of various healthcare and wellness initiatives including annual open enrollment, annual compliance process (SPD, SMMs and others as needed). Participate and evaluate vendor and programs as needed in direct consultation with HR leadership.
  • Oversees the team's delivery of healthcare information for the annual financial statements, working directly with the auditors for the preparation and filing of Form 5500. Oversees the compliance of benefit programs with state, federal, local legal requirements by staying informed of existing laws and new regulations.
  • Resolves complex healthcare questions that involve advanced subject matter expertise and collaboration with HR leadership, vendors and healthcare consultants.
  • Works with healthcare vendors, consultants, legal, finance and HR leadership as needed to effectively deliver and assess healthcare benefits for affordability.
  • Assesses and develops ways to create process improvements that deliver the best outcomes and services to our team members, retirees and survivors. This includes designing new processes, engaging healthcare team members in dialogue across process improvements and executing changes as needed to streamline and enhance the overall administration of our healthcare programs.
  • Consults with labor relations on benefit issues in support of applicable collective bargaining agreements.
  • Oversee payment of all premiums, wire transfers and invoices related to benefit programs.Other work as assigned by the Director, Total Rewards to support the healthcare and wellness programs.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.

Experience:

Required: 7 years of experience in benefits planning and administration and experience promoting wellness programs.

Supervisory Experience:

Required: 2 years experience directly managing a team.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)

Required:



  • Strong problem-solving skills, time management and decision-making
  • Strong project management, especially managing end to end open enrollment and compliance.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communications (both written and verbal) are imperative.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and be HIPAA certified
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Work is performed in a normal office environment.
