JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Facility Applications Office within Penn State's Office of Physical Plant (OPP) is seeking a Facilities Systems Analyst who will be focused on supporting the Enterprise Asset Management system and related systems in functional support and administration capacity. These systems include the EAM system (Maximo), Scheduling Software (Akwire), external customer interface (EZRequest), and mobile software (EZMaxMobile).

The Facilities Systems Analysts will:

  • Ensure the reliable performance of facilities systems/applications

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any related system and user issues

  • Participate in projects to gather user requirements, design, configure, test and implement financial systems and applications

  • Monitor system performance and usage to maintain security and reliability

  • Coordinate new software fixes and upgrades

  • Recommend new features or changes to configuration/ workflows based on user feedback

  • Work closely with internal and external customers to assist with and diagnose day-to-day software issues

  • Administer and facilitate users in obtaining access to systems

  • Provide application support and act as the initial point of contact for the Enterprise Asset Management system and supporting systems

  • Escalate tickets that cannot be resolved

  • Handle user access and person, group, and labor record maintenance

  • Ensure the integrity and reliability of applications and their data

  • Provide guidance and expertise to users and stakeholders

The FSA will report to the Facilities Applications Manager. This is a full-time on-site position.

The successful candidate will also interpret business issues or needs and recommend solutions and best practices that leverage application functionality to meet business needs; monitor system utilization and license compliance; create and maintain knowledge base and business process documentation for Tier 1 support; assist with training, coordination and administration, i.e., classroom support, training logistics, assisting in the development and publishing of job aids; provide administrative scheduling in support of FAM initiatives, i.e., scheduling discovery and planning sessions, training, and project meetings; and order departmental supplies.

Education and experience:

Minimally requires an associate's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in Maximo or similar Enterprise Asset Management applications is preferred. Requires very strong communication, active listening, and customer service skills.

Background check:

This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

    The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

    $46,400.00 - $67,300.00
