Position Summary The Community Regional Executive is responsible for all community lending functions of multiple community markets, along with cross selling the bank's other business lines within those markets. Provide senior management for lending function and serve as a senior lending officer for all communities within their region, managing community assets greater than $500 million. Key measurements of success are the community's revenue and profitability growth while maintaining excellent asset quality and cross selling the bank's other lines of business. Leadership responsibility includes handling all employment issues and supervising the overall community operation by leading the team of Community Bankers and Commercial Portfolio Managers. Also, may assist with the planning, implementation and control of the banks organizational and/or fiscal objectives. Directs immediate and long-range planning based on continual evaluation of results. This position typically resides in markets of MSA's under 500,000. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees the sales effort of customers and prospects of all communities in their scope through a relational business development plan. The plan focuses on being a trusted advisor to the customer assisting them in recognizing opportunities and risks while helping them accomplish their goals through their use of Bank's products and services.
- Supervises the lending and loan administration activities of the community under the direction of the Community Division Executive. Review and approve credit applications exceeding individual officer lending authorities. Ensure that commercial credit packages prepared by lending officers meet Simmons Bank standards for accuracy, content, and quality of presentation, and provide all information needed for prudent credit decision. Ensure that lending officers comply with Simmons Bank credit policy and prudent lending practices. Prepare and conduct annual evaluations of lending associates, and impose disciplinary action when warranted.
- Through subordinate Community Bankers, manages all functions of multiple communities; through consultations or formal meetings with subordinate officers, provides counsel, advice, as well as supervision, in making key functional decisions; continually monitors over community performance.
- Prepares and conducts all leadership responsibilities (such as annual Strengths and Opportunities, Talent Factor assignments, Goal Setting, merit submissions, etc.), and impose disciplinary action when warranted.
- Provides guidance and support to Retail leadership for the retail banking and sales management functions of the communities, including operation of the community's branch offices. Partners with Retail leadership to ensure that branches are operated in accordance with bank policy and procedures and prudent banking practices. Collaborates with other market leaders in hiring decisions for the communities.
- Coordinates compliance activities and preparation of budget for the community.
- May present recommendations to loan committee and exhibits a deep understanding of credits presented.
- Become active in the market through membership in business organizations, community events and/or non-profit organizations where one can be in a position to advance the reputation of the Bank.
- Ability to set and meet challenging individual and community goals without direct supervision in a positive team oriented environment to ensure Bank wide goals are met.
- Ensures all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, related field, or relevant job experience is required.
- Four to six years minimum experience in lending and/or credit and management is required.
- Advanced sales skills required.
- Experience in the local market required for better understanding of the lending environment and potential customer base.
