Assistant or Associate Teaching Faculty, Data Science

Job Summary

The College of Computing & Informatics, Information Science Department invites applications for a full-time teaching faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate professor with a specialization in data science.

This position is located in Philadelphia, PA, and involves regular on-campus teaching.

Essential Functions

• Teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels. Involves regular on-campus courses/sections.
• Serve as curricular leader in your primary area.
• Scholarly research and service to the college and department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Experience in teaching in both on-campus and online environments.
• Expertise in information science with an emphasis in data science.
• Experience in information science competencies and curriculum development.
• Broad knowledge in information science and interest in promoting information science to a wide audience.
• A vision for interdisciplinary information science education in the 21st century.

Additional Information

This is a full-time Faculty position classified as Exempt. The salary offered is based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
