Summary

NYPA is the first electric utility in North America to achieve a coveted international certification, ISO 55001, for meeting the most rigorous asset management standards.The Asset Management Analyst performs a key role in NYPA's asset management system to maintain ISO certification compliance through coordination with multiple stakeholders, administer governance reviews and continuously improve existing processes and documentation. In addition, the analyst will support managing the continual improvement program to enable implementation.#LI-AH1

Responsibilities
  • Maintain compliance and alignment of Asset Management System ("AMS") with ISO55001 standard and internal governance requirements .
  • Assist with day-to-day coordination with vendors and contractors for supporting the continual improvement of AMS.
  • Support the management and implementation of elements of the Strategic Asset Management Plan ("SAMP").
  • Coordinate with multiple cross-functional teams to determine and implement prioritized business improvement opportunities in Roadmap to meet Asset Management Objectives.
  • Identify, refresh and manage stakeholder's expectations and performance objectives, adjust to changing priorities, and communicate multiple solutions.
  • Collaborate on AMS documentation updates, review and approval process, timelines, and troubleshoot issues with all stakeholders.
  • Perform the essential functions of the Asset Management technical systems.
  • Provide oversight in use of Asset Management Technical Systems.
  • Monitoring of results collected to improve operational performance of our assets.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent organizational, communication and project management skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan, organize, manage time and deadlines, and execute large complex projects.
  • Ability to apply project management skills.
  • Ability to develop and facilitate engaging, informative, well organized presentations.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills necessary for developing technical reports, writing critiques on technical documents, and preparing technical procedures.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, quantify and utilize information to make recommendations that support business choices.
  • Ability to lead a work stream and coordinate with other teams in parallel to maintain connectivity.
  • Ability to understand asset management systems and all interconnected components.
  • Proficient in Maximo application suite preferred.
Education, Experience and Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 4 years related experience required.
  • Utility experience preferred.
  • Project Management experience, preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Significant travel expected (25% - 45% depending upon responsibilities), primarily within NY State to NYPA owned facilities by car, company plane and commercial transportation.
  • Up to 25% travel primarily within NY State.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to travel for meetings and project coordination.
  • Availability to attend meetings outside of normal business hours.

The New York Power Authority is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. The target salary range for this position is: $97,720.00 - $134,360.00. The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidates' relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
