LOCATION: Cermak Health Services (Department of Corrections), 2800 S. California Ave., Chicago, IL DEPARTMENT: Patient Care Services_ Urgent Care JOB TITLE: Emergency Response Technician JOB SUMMARY UNION - SEIU 73 MEMBERS As a first responder to emergencies in accordance with protocols, within the Cook County Department of Corrections (CCDOC)/Criminal Courts Building Complex and the Department of Community Supervision and Intervention (DCSI). Utilizes Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) skills as well as other technical skills to evaluate, triage and stabilize patients. Observes detainees for health problems, intervenes and reports clinical information to Physician, Physician Assistant (PA) or Registered Nurse (RN). TYPICAL DUTIES
