Converting Operator -12 Hour Shifts (AM/PM)

Converting Operators are responsible for all aspects of production from start to finish. This includes maintaining a clean and safe operating environment, preparing for changeovers, testing product quality, efficiently operating machines, planning materials for production, immediately reporting any concerns/issues with safety, machines, quality, etc. to the appropriate individual, and more.

Compensation for this position starts at $20.36. This is based on skill; many advancement opportunities will be available.

This may include opportunities within and outside of the Production Department.

Shifts Available

12 HOUR (AM) 7AM-7PM*Rotating Weekends/6 Hours on Wednesday*
12 HOUR (PM-Overnight) 7PM-7AM Rotating Weekends/6 Hours on Wednesday

Safety

• Understand and follow all safety procedures and policies.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures established by the company.
• Take personal responsibility for own safety and fellow employees, correcting and/or assisting in thecorrection of any safety hazard identified.
• Immediately report any safety concerns/issues to the appropriate individual.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate extrusion lines and support high-quality product.
• Set up and operate converting lines and support high-quality product.
• Reviews order specifications to ensure the correct packaging supplies and raw materials are available to produce a product that meets the customer's specifications.
• Observes and checks finished film coming off the production lines and takes immediate corrective action to eliminate the causes of a sub-standard product.
• Remove and package finished rolls from machine.
• Monitors equipment to ensure it is operating properly and under supervision of the Lead Operator performs routine maintenance on equipment.
• Complete daily production paperwork and troubleshoot stoppages and breakdowns.
• Under the direction of the Lead Operator may train team members correct operating procedures, safety, and quality policy procedures.
• Learn and comprehend all equipment so adjustments can be made if/when needed.

Quality

• Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined at Pregis.
• Perform all aspects of the position to the highest quality.
• Report any non-conformance to Supervisor immediately.
• Know all quality standards and expectations of the position and if not sure, ask the supervisor beforecontinuing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years' manufacturing experience in a production environment.
