Job Summary

Responsibilities and activities may include, but are not limited to:
1. Assist in a variety of activities associated with innovative research projects.
2. Complete literature searches on PubMed, CINAHL Plus, Medline, PsychInfo, and other databases.
3. Recruit and track research subjects.
4. Collect data.
5. Compile research data (format text data, enter into software, etc.)
6. Update database files, such as EndNote.
7. Make telephone calls related to research projects.
8. May need to assist faculty in proctoring exams.

Graduate research assistants are generally assigned to Mennonite College of Nursing's Office of Nursing Research, Scholarship, and Innovation to assist with faculty research. The nature of the assistance varies by the various projects on which faculty members are working and can involve a variety of activities such as:

1. Library work
2. Proposal writing
3. Research subject recruitment and tracking
4. Data gathering
5. Data entry
6. Data analysis
