Primary Focus:

The Salesforce Administrator will analyze and generate insights from vast arrays of complex customer, prospective client, sales, pricing and similar data. She/he will be the subject matter expert for any workflow process originating or overlapping the Salesforce.com platform.

She/he will primarily be responsible for administering Salesforce.com & responding to continuous changes in the Sales, Marketing and Customer Operations organizations with respect to user management, account maintenance, roles, profiles and security. She/he will work with IT project teams for platform enhancements; improving and automating processes to simplify and streamline pre and post sales activities related to lead generation, customer acquisition and retention and service.

Accountabilities:

  • Serve as a system administrator for the Salesforce.com environment for 700+ users.
  • Manage Salesforce security including roles, profiles, sharing rules, workflows and groups.
  • Create and maintain fields, views, reports, dashboards, campaigns and other Salesforce.com objects and functions.
  • Design and develop custom reports and dashboards for Sales, Marketing and Operations users.
  • Review data completeness and integrity within the Salesforce.com platform; highlighting gaps and issues to relevant stakeholders for remediation.
  • Research and define processes, workflow rules and validations to be implemented by working collaboratively with multiple Organizational and App Dev teams.
  • Work with IT Quality Control, to test and approve deployments related to Salesforce.com.
  • As required, work closely with Sales Effectiveness and Technology team, to jointly prepare training materials and host training for Sales teams across North America.
  • Be the Salesforce expert for the entire organization, providing advice and assessment related to best practices in the use of Salesforce.com.
  • Be a point of contact for any Salesforce user, solving inquires or problems and escalating them to IT or external vendors as necessary
  • Work closely with the offshore team to manage the day to day case work load
  • Prepare training documents for any new functionality being deployed as needed
  • Evaluate new Salesforce innovation to determine functionality requirements and provide detailed information on how changes will apply to all affected departments/users.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, IT, or Business
  • 2+ years of experience managing data
  • 2+ years of Salesforce.com Administrator experience
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification 201 (preferred)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; Office 365/Skype
  • Knowledge of Apex/Visual force a plus
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality
  • Excellent communication and social skills
  • Team oriented, with capability to establish critical relations across a variety of teams
  • Resourcefulness and ability to work with limited supervision
  • Flexibility and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
