Job Title: Design Engineer

Location: Conyers, GA

What we're looking for:

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, and innovative Design Engineer who will be responsible for designing Complex Structural systems for commercial and Industrial refrigeration in Solid Works and AutoCAD.

What you'll be responsible for in this role:

  • Support our platform growth in CO2 by modifying 3D models and using our PLM Systems to create accurate product changes.
  • Create detailed drawings based on customer specifications for Refrigeration equipment in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. The person will generate fully detailed submittals with sometimes limited information and fully detailed manufacturing drawings of the products as per ANSI, and ASTM Standards.
  • Will be involved from submittal development stage all the way through the manufacturing of the products designed.
  • Will provide guidance to sales and ISE of products available, design availability, will be product subject matter expert on design of equipment based on our capabilities and limitations.
  • Create 3D models and drawings of Sheet metal parts-manufacturing drawings, and assembly drawings.
  • Create Bill of Material (BOM) for jobs in configurator and ERP system.
  • Perform component validation and propose cost effective designs to meet customer requirements.
  • Drive product enhancement and apply quality mindset on model and drawing development.
  • Convert designs from AutoCAD to Solid Works.
  • Attend and lead both formal and informal meetings with customers and internal stake holders on high dollar/high visibility projects
  • Interface with customers, internal and external, for technical details to achieve project goals.
  • Support manufacturing on shop floor, as job requires.

What are the basic qualifications?

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 1 to 2 years' experience in an Engineering industry preferably related to manufacturing
  • Experience in a 3D modeling environment preferably solid works

What are the preferred qualifications?

  • Experience with refrigeration or HVAC industries a plus.

  • Must have strong computer skills utilizing EPDM, 3D Experience (Enovia), MS suite.
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Basic project management skills
  • Must be action oriented, ethical in value, and have a strong customer focus
