General Purpose of Job: To assist the Food Service Management Team (both together and in their absence) in the duties and responsibilities of effectively running the department. Essential Duties: This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Caregivers may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.
- Assists management in all day-to-day operations and functions of the department, including assignments of staff working in their areas of responsibility, scheduling and staffing issues, training, customer satisfaction, cash management functions and quality assurance of FANS operations.
- Ensures that sanitation and stocking of supplies is complete and thorough in assigned areas. Assists in ensuring the compliance of proper food handling procedures, retail stock rotation and equipment repair and/or maintenance.
- Ensures proper cleaning of all areas of retail services on a daily basis.
- Assists in monthly reports, attends departmental meetings and participates in developing and executing departmental goals and objectives.
- Takes responsibility of the department in the absence of management staff and acts in a charge position at all times. Communicate/Document all shift issues to management
- Assists in developing policies, procedures and departmental practices.
- Maintains hospital standards by participating in in-services, committees, continuing education programs, etc.
- Adheres to the established dress code and standards for personal appearance and hygiene.

Work Experience |
* Demonstrated knowledge of retail food service operations. * Previous Cash Management responsibilities including POS troubleshooting. * Demonstrated ability to lead others by proper example and positive attitudes. * Demonstrated ability to be a leader, addressing issues fairly and without bias. * 2 years of leadership responsibilities. Preferred. * Demonstrated ability to respond to spontaneous situations calmly, with the safety and satisfaction of customers and staff as the driving force to your actions. Preferred. |
Education |
* High school diploma, GED or successful completion of 12 grades combined with continued enrollment in early college program * 2 year degree or some higher education. Preferred. |
Specialized Knowledge and Skills |
* Demonstrated high standard of customer service skills, self-motivation, problem solving, time management and motivational skills. |
