Position Summary

The Proposal Automation Engineer is responsible for designing and developing proposal processes for engineered products and technical services. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Project Management, and Engineering, to ensure high-quality, timely, and accurate proposals that meet customer needs and drive business growth.

WORK LOCATION AND TRAVEL

* Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required.
* Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

* Develop cutting-edge logistics solutions: Create complex and innovative AGV and AMR system layouts and solutions using Bluebotics Antlab.
* Simulate Success: Prepare System Simulations or Calculations that accurately predict the number of vehicles needed to meet a customer's needs.
* Collaborate effectively: Work closely with our Business Development team, combining commercial and technical expertise to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks.
* Visualize the Proposal: Generate eye-catching and informative graphics or videos of layout simulations to help the customer understand our proposed solution.
* Stay ahead of the curve: Work with our Deployment and Development teams to ensure new solutions are matched with upcoming roadmap innovations.
* Pass the Baton: Effectively communicate risks and opportunities to the Deployment Automation Engineering team during project kick-offs to ensure swift and accurate transitions.
* Sales Support: Support the sales team by preparing materials, answering customer questions and attending trade shows.
* Build Proposals: Work with the rest of the Commercial Team to generate Firm Price and Budgetary Proposals within the customer's deadlines.
* HSE Compliance: Carry out work in accordance with the Company's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Systems. Perform assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems.
* Waste Reduction and Sustainability: Eliminate waste in all forms, suggest the use of environmentally friendly substances and practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our environmental impac

Qualifications

REQUIRED

* Bachelor's degree in industrial, Electrical, and/or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 2-8 years of work experience in a comparable commercial B2B position within a technical and capital goods working environment.
* Ability to work independently, experience working in Factory Automation, preferably AGV or AMR systems.
* Expert knowledge of applicable safety standards ANSI B56.5 and ISO 3694-1.
* Ability to exhibit impact and influence with excellent communication skills in speech and writing.
* Ability to build relationships and establish rapport with peers and colleagues.
* Experience using Plant Simulation, Antlab, FlexSim or other SCADA software for industrial simulations.
* Demonstrates innovative thinking and strong commercial acumen.

DESIRED

* Master's Degree.
* Fluency, written and oral in either the German or Dutch languages.
* Experienced with Bluebotics Antlab, able to create system layouts and simulations.
* Experience deploying or developing Oceaneering Mobile Robotic Systems at customer's sites.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
