Responsibilities

Project Overview: The Consultant will support the U.S. General Services Administration with federal agency implementation of the Federal IT Acquisition and Reform Act (FITARA) and other government-wide IT policy initiatives.

Position Overview: The Consultant's role includes supporting government-wide IT policy initiatives, engaging with federal agencies and senior federal executives, providing problem-solving and strategic analysis, and using data to inform decision-making and make recommendations to the government. Additional professional duties may be assigned as needed.

Scope of Work:

    Support government-wide IT policy initiatives.
  • Engage with federal agencies and senior federal executives.
  • Provide strategic advice to government officials and executives.
  • Analyze data using basic data analysis tools to inform decision-making and promote recommendations.
  • Maintain professional etiquette while interacting with industry and government professionals.
  • Work effectively in team environments of varying composition, personalities, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Exhibit exceptional oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ensure punctuality and consistency in meeting deliverable deadlines.
  • Participate in confidential meetings and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive materials.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 1--5 years experience in management consulting, project management, and federal contracting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in business, public administration, public policy or equivalent
  • Federal government event coordination and management experience
  • Federal Government or Federal Contracting experience
  • Knowledge of and/or understanding of any of the following:
  • Policy Analysis
    • Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA)
    • Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI)
    • Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC)
    • Technology Business Management (TBM)
    • Data Centers, Cloud, Infrastructure
    • IT Acquisition/Procurement
    • Project Management (PMBOK)
    • Agile Development Methodology

Experience: 1-5 years of industry experience

Education: B.S./B.A. degree required

Work Authorization/Clearance: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future employment sponsorship.
